  Is Watchtower totally off base on Armageddon?

  to me it is quite evident that the gt spoken about in matthew 24, mark 13 and luke 21 is a one time, non-repeatable localized event resulting in the destruction of jerusalem and the temple followed by the dispersion of surviving jews throughout the nations.. however, what is not so clear to most is that the gt of revelation deals with the same event.

  my understanding is that the gb of jehovah witnesses has no clue as to how to interpret the apocalyptic messages found both in the synoptics and revelation.

  but steve greg has armageddon down pat.

  Ask a witness?

  How many more times is Christ coming? Since He's already been here once and the 2nd coming is yet to happen.

  How many more times does He come back. Is it once? Or twice? Since He's been taught to come "invisibly" in 1914. But every eye will see Him according to Revelation.

  How many more times does Christ come back? 2,,,or more times?

  I tell you,,,,,I used to get stumped!! When in field service with someone who ""knew"" their Bible.

  the truth is most active jws would probably agree that most of the teachings are not right, the new thing is that we just don’t know.. the governing body now say they get things wrong and make mistakes as they are not inspired and not infallible.

  yet they are still to be trusted no matter what?.

  I would venture to say the GB will be taken away "invisibly" so to speak. If anything.

  Revelation 16:16. "Harmageddon" is a local place in Israel.

  If you gotta bible,,, please read that scripture. And the corresponding scriptures.

  We can put "Armageddon"",, to bed. It aint coming.

  hi all , i just had another call by a an elderly jw ,let's call him ian.. only about 3 months ago i had a young jw call and trying to talk to him i had to tone it down a bit because he did'nt seem so theocratically bright as he only offered a tract and not much else , and i've had others call since covid.. so it seems around here they are making regular calls but not like back in the day when i used to auxillary pioneer where we would go over this turf every 1 to 3 weeks in the 80's.. but back to my caller ian ,on his own , but out with a group of jw's he was quick to get around the pleasantries and and so i interrupted him tactfully to slow him down.

  started with a bit of my history easing into the fact that i had my first contact with jw's with my soon to be mother-in -law who was an invalided jw ,we had many good talks about her beliefs in the early 70's.. at this point he jumps in and wants to know if i would want a study again because i told him that i once did a study with jw's back.

  i carefully steered him into telling me about those days ,what was he was doing back then.

  i got an email notice today on this excellent letter of resignation from a german family that is trending on reddit.

  i thought i would share it here if anyone is so inclined to write one.

  for those with pimi jw family and jw business connections, it may not be wise to share such a letter, but i imagine it must be very freeing to send such a letter.
